Meeting of EU-Moldova subcommittee on justice, freedom, security held in Chisinau
Chisinau, July 10 /MOLDPRES/- "I reiterate Moldova's strong commitment to the implementation of the reforms and we thank the European Union for the constant support provided over the years for their implementation," Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru said at a meeting of the EU-Moldova subcommittee on justice, freedom and security, held today in Chisinau.
The meeting focused on the actions, the next steps in the justice sector, integrity, money laundering, migration, data protection.
The EU representatives welcomed the Moldovan government's commitment to reforms, despite the challenges caused by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the hybrid actions directed against our country. They also noted Moldova's progress in implementing reforms in the areas of the rule of law, anti-corruption and good governance.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Chancellery, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, ANI, CSM, CSP, INJ, CNA, the Money Laundering Service, the National Center for Personal Data Protection. The officials reported on the progress made since the last meeting of the subcommittee in 2022 in Brussels.
The event is a platform for interaction with EU representatives in order to regularly monitor the developments registered by the national authorities deriving from the commitments undertaken following the signing of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.
