Moldovan MPs resume monitoring of reintegration policy: first meeting of parliamentary commission for reintegration to be held on March 6

The special parliamentary commission for monitoring and control of the implementation of Moldova’s reintegration policy will on March 6 will convene at its first meeting in the current legislative period.

The meeting’s agenda includes issues related to the current situation in the Transnistrian region and the municipality of Bender (Tighina), developments in the Security Zone, as well as the state of the negotiation process on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.

The commission was established on December 18, 2025, and is made up of 11 MPs. Six members represent the Action and Solidarity Party, while one representative has been delegated by each of the following: the Party of Socialists, the Party of Communists, Our Party, Democracy at Home, and the Alternative parliamentary faction. The chair of the Commission is MP Ion Groza.

The commission’s goal is to monitor and assess the implementation of reintegration policies, as well as to develop proposals and recommendations on the main current issues in this field.

The special parliamentary commission for reintegration was created in 2021, at an initiative by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and continues its activity in the current legislative period.
