Government approves national reintegration activity program: 25 million lei for 30 projects to be implemented this year

An amount of 25 million lei will be allocated for the implementation of 30 projects included in the National Reintegration Activities Program for 2026, which was approved today by the Government.

The program includes 30 projects to be implemented in localities within the Security Zone, aiming to finance community and regional development initiatives and activities, modernize medical and sanitary institutions, those in the education system, as well as in the fields of culture and sports, and strengthen energy resilience. These initiatives are intended to contribute to promoting confidence-building measures between the population on both banks of the Dniester River, as well as to achieving the strategic objective of national reintegration.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri said at the Cabinet meeting that the projects were evaluated and shortlisted by a commission established by the Government.

At the same time, the program provides for the allocation of 3 million lei to the Dubăsari district council for the partial compensation of expenses incurred by landowners whose plots are located beyond the Rîbnița–Tiraspol route.

Central and local public authorities that will benefit from financial resources under the program will be required to use them according to their designated purposes by the end of the 2026 budget year and to submit annual reports on the use of the allocated funds to the Bureau for Reintegration Policies by 15 January 2027.

The projects were selected following a competition held between 12 January and 6 March 2026, in which 103 project proposals participated.
