Deputy Prime Minister pays visit to Germany

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi is paying a visit to Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, on 18–19 May.

During the visit, the head of Moldovan diplomacy will hold a meeting with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johann Wadephul, and will participate in the high-level conference entitled “Energy Security – Lessons from Ukraine”.

The Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany established diplomatic relations on 30 April 1992.

In the Republic of Moldova, 427 enterprises with German capital are active, with investments totaling over 773 million lei. By volume of invested capital, the Federal Republic of Germany ranks 6th among the main investors in the Republic of Moldova, and by number of enterprises it ranks 7th. Among the largest German investors in the Republic of Moldova are: Südzucker, Dräxlmaier, Steinel Electronic, Gebauer & Griller, Kaufland and others.
