Customs Service collected over 871 million lei last week

The Customs Service collected over 871.7 million lei the last week. The funds collected are paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, and social projects.

During this period, individuals brought in goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, with payments amounting to about 22.5 million lei, which represents 2.6% of the total collected amount.

Also, over the past week, 11,792 customs declarations were processed, and the traffic of transport means exceeded 74,000 crossings. The most frequently used border crossing points remain Leușeni and Sculeni, with 15,853 and 13,360 crossings, respectively.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected around 16.0 billion lei to the state budget, which represents a 101.9% fulfillment of the control figure.
