Moldovan president in Briceni says European path is one providing Moldova with most chances for safe, stable, peaceful future at home
President Maia Sandu is on an official visit to northern Briceni district today. During this visit, the head of state had discussions with mayors and local authorities.
"I emphasized that the priorities are clear: to maintain peace for our families, to mobilize resources for the development of communities, in order to provide a better living and to support entrepreneurs to boost the economy," said Maia Sandu.
The official noted that, besides the investments made from the state budget, the country also needed European funds.
"We need this, in order to succeed in rapidly modernizing roads, providing water supply to settlements, providing more jobs and increasing citizens' incomes. The European path is the one that offers us most chances for a safe, stable and peaceful future here at home," Maia Sandu added.
During her visit to Briceni, the president will also have discussions with residents of several villages on the projects carried out in their localities.
Last week, President Maia Sandu was on a visit to the northern Soroca district.
