Moldova ranks third in Europe for short-term tourist accommodations' affordability
Moldova ranks third among the most affordable European countries for short-term tourist accommodation, according to a new international study based on AirDNA data and reported by Euronews English.
The analysis shows that Moldova provides an average rate of 45.49 euros per night, one of the most competitive prices on the continent. This places the country among the destinations with the best balance between price, quality and authentic tourist experiences.
At the same time, Moldova records the highest occupancy rate among all destinations included in the ranking, at 62.7 per cent, an indicator that shows the growing interest of international tourists in this destination.According to the data, the Chisinau municipality stays the main gateway for visitors, and the average length of stay is 5.4 nights, the second highest in Europe. This suggests that Moldova is no longer seen only as a transit destination, but as a place that tourists explore in depth.
The growing interest is supported by the diversity of experiences on offer: wine tourism, local gastronomy, cultural heritage and authentic rural landscapes. From internationally renowned underground wineries to picturesque villages and local hospitality, Moldova is consolidating its position on Europe’s tourist map as an affordable and authentic destination.
