MP Alexandr Suhodolski left without pay
MP Alexandr Suhodolski loses his salary, allowances and compensations due to unexcused absences. Speaker Igor Grosu signed an order to this effect.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, payments to the deputy are to be resumed when the legislator attends plenary or permanent committee meetings of which he is a part.
In May, Suhodolski did not attend either plenary sessions or parliamentary committee meetings. Moreover, for unexcused absences recorded in April, the deputy was penalized with a retention of 75% of his salary and the monthly transport allowance.
The Parliament leadership specifies that, since the beginning of the current year, salary payments have also been suspended for deputies Denis Ulanov, Alexandr Nesterovschi, Irina Lozovanu and Marina Tauber due to unexcused absences from plenary and permanent committee sessions.
According to the Parliament's Regulations, a deputy cannot be absent from Parliament sessions or the permanent committee of which they are a part, except for justified reasons – medical leave, personal leave, or as a protest to an item on the agenda announced at these meetings.
