Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Ciocana district court decided on 18 September to set MP Mariana Tauber under house arrest for 30 days, after two days ago her parliamentary immunity was lifted. Magistrates responded to the request of prosecutors, who suspected her of being involved in bank fraud.

MPs of Shor Party Marina Tauber and Reghina Apostolova remained without parliamentary immunity on 16 September after acting prosecutor Dumitru Robu announced that "there is evidence pointing out the suspicion that they were involved in bank fraud”. Shortly after lifting the immunity, Marina Tauber and Reghina Apostolova were detained in Orhei and escorted to the headquarters of the National Anticorruption Center.

Also on Monday, Apostolova felt ill and was hospitalized. Judges have not yet decided on her case.

In the last two days, police conducted several searches at the homes and offices of the deputies, and at several persons close to Ilan Shor.
