Six candidates registered for office of Balti city's mayor
Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - Six candidates have been registered for the office of mayor of the Balti city.
According to the official webpage of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), it is about Vladimir Rusu – Action and Solidarity Party, Sergiu Burlacu – Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, Alexandru Gustoi – Party of Communists from Moldova, Ion Straciuc – the Build Europe at Home Party, Maxim Morosan – Party of Socialists from Moldova and Aureliu Filip – Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of CEC’s communication department, Rodica Sirbu, said that the last day of submitting the set of acts for the candidate’s registration at the general local elections is 6 October 2023. ‘’After the submission of the set of acts for the candidate’s registration, it will be considered by the electoral bodies and a decision will be issued on the acceptance or turning down of candidates. The term of examination is of seven days,’’ Rodica Sirbu noted.
The general local polls will be held on 5 November this year.
