Twenty four laws to undergo ex-post evaluation in Moldova in 2025

Twenty four laws will undergo ex-post evaluation this year. The ex-post evaluation plan for the year 2025 has been approved by the parliament's standing bureau.

According to the document, parliamentary commissions will evaluate the impact of 11 laws. Most regulations will be evaluated by the commission for national security, defence and public order.

Among them, there are the aviation security Law, the Law on the state of emergency, siege, and war. At the same time, the regulatory framework in the field of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing will be assessed.

The juridical commission for appointments and immunities will evaluate the Law on Notarial Procedure, while the commission for culture, education, research, youth, sports and mass media will assess the Law on creative people and creative unions.

The commission for social protection, health and family will evaluate the Law on the public social security system and the commission for human rights and interethnic relations will evaluate the Law on the rehabilitation of crime victims. The Law on regulation by authorization of entrepreneurial activity, with reference to environmental permits, will be assessed by the commission for environment, climate and green transition.

In addition, the general legal department of the parliament’s Secretariat will legally ex-post assess another 13 regulations.

The ex-post evaluation of the enforcement of legislative acts allows the parliament analyzing data on how the legislation was implemented and represents one of the tools for exercising parliamentary control.
