The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, has come up with a reaction, in the context of today's protests organized outside state institutions, including the government building and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. He said that the actions represent ‘’electoral protests based on lies and manipulation, meant to steal votes from people who have not been properly informed.’’
‘’Pro-Russian parties organized two protests today outside state institutions – including the government of Moldova and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. This is not about a legitimate claim, but about an electoral protest based on lies and manipulation, meant to steal votes from people who have not been properly informed,’’ said Daniel Voda.
As for the agriculture, Daniel Voda noted that, in recent years alone, the government had invested more 6 billion lei in the sector's development. He also said that all contributions assumed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry were paid on time.
At the same time, in the energy sector, ‘’progress was made that has not been achieved in the last three decades,’’ the government's spokesperson specified.
‘’Efforts are being made towards enhancing energy efficiency and strengthening the country's energy independence. Today, Moldova is supplied with energy resources from diverse sources – which the pro-Russian parties do not say,’’ the official stressed.
Daniel Voda also said that the protests outside state institutions’ buildings were nothing more than instructions from abroad fulfilled and had nothing to do with citizens' interests.
‘’The truth is that these 'spontaneous' protests outside state institutions are nothing more than instructions from abroad fulfilled. They have nothing to do with the citizens' interests or the government's performance,’’ the government's spokesperson, Daniel Voda, added.
