
Moldovan citizens in Transnistrian region benefited from social payments amounting to 27.6 million lei
In the first half of 2025, citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing in the Transnistrian region benefited from social payments amounting to 27.6 million lei, paid from the national social insurance budget.
According to the Reintegration Policy Office, 2,752 people living in the Transnistrian region received social payments. Specifically, this includes 617 monthly allowances for child care up to the age of two, 690 old age pensions, 505 temporary work incapacity allowances, 213 monthly state allowances for war veterans, and 150 one-off childbirth allowances.
“Fulfilling social commitments towards all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regardless of their place of residence, remains a constant priority for the national authorities,” the Reintegration Policy Office said.
The granting of pensions, allowances, and social benefits from the state budget is ensured for applicants who seek support from competent national authorities, in accordance with the requirements set by the normative framework.
