Moldovan president condemns Russian strikes on Ukraine
President Maia Sandu condemned the Russian attack launched last night in the city of Odesa, in southern Ukraine.
In this context, the official reaffirmed support for the neighboring country and its citizens.
"The heart of the city of Odesa - Privoz Square - lies in ruins after another brutal attack by Russia. Moldovans know its voices, smells and spirit. We condemn yet another barbaric act of terror against civilians," Maia Sandu said.
The port city of Odesa was targeted last night in a massive drone attack, hitting civilian infrastructure, including the main Privoz market, where several pavilions caught fire, as well as architectural monuments in the historic center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Local authorities reported three injured.
