
5 billion lei invested in economy through Program 373
Program 373 has reached the milestone of five billion lei invested in the economy of the Republic of Moldova, with a total loan value exceeding 3.4 billion lei. Thus, through this program, 824 entrepreneurs have benefited from loans under favorable conditions.
According to the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, over 12,000 people are currently employed in companies supported by Program 373, and another 2,462 jobs are expected to be created in the near future.
Official data further reveals that the largest investments have been made in the Central region and in the municipality of Chișinău - each with over 1.7 billion lei. The Northern region attracted investments of 843 million lei, while the Southern region, including Gagauzia, benefited from 505 million lei.
The financial support was directed towards a variety of economic sectors. The majority of the investments (42%) were focused on the production and supply of energy, followed by the manufacturing industry (16%) and transportation and storage (15%). Significant funds also reached the health, education, and leisure sectors.
Program 373 was launched in the summer of 2023. Small and medium-sized enterprises enjoy easier access to financing. The maximum loan amount is 40 million lei, and the maximum guarantee cap is 80% of the loan value, via the Credit Guarantee Fund. Up to 30% of the project's value can be used for the purchase of raw materials and materials necessary for production or service provision.
