ANSP head resigned today

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu summoned today in a meeting director of the National Agency for Public Health / ANSP / Nicolae Furtună, in which he has announced his resignation.

Under a press release of the government, Furtuna reported the situation in the ANSP and the acute problems faced by the institution.

In the next period, interim director of ANSP will be served by Vasile Guștiuc.

Today, President Igor Dodon, several politicians and representatives of civil society asked Nicolae Furtună to resign, after he told a TV show that “the people who died of COVID-19 were a burden to themselves and others”.
