
As many as 1,777 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,847 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,777 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Seventeen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 303,208 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 29 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (14 physicians, 11 medical assistants and 4 representatives of the auxiliary staff.
As many as 1,848 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 184 are in extremely serious condition and 31 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 8,141 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,756 are under supervision at home.
Another 1,512 people have been treated. As many as 285,752 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,954 people have died of coronavirus in all.
