As many as 741 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,445 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 741 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 151,787 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 27 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –13, medical assistants –10 and auxiliary staff employees –4.
A number of 2,366 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 230 are in extremely serious condition (41 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
Another 766 people have been treated. As many as 140,983 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
In the context, 3,886 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 18,769 are under supervision at the domicile.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,211 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a medical assistant at the pediatry section of the Hancesti District Hospital. Sixty nine medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
