Chisinau city hall to build parking at city entrances
Chisinau, 1 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- To decongest public transport in the capital, Chisinau city hall will build parking lots at the entrances to the city.
The General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications said it will submit applications for the issuance of urban planning certificates for the design of four Park & Ride parking lots at the entrances to the city of Chisinau.
During a meeting held on January 31, several locations were examined that allow the arrangement of transfer parking lots, for the first stage being identified four plots of land in the Botanica, Ciocana and Buiucani sectors.
The action plan on the implementation of street, residential and multi-storey car park projects was also discussed, as well as other aspects related to the development of the parking infrastructure in Chisinau.
Park & Ride car parks are primarily dedicated to drivers coming from outside the city. They can park their vehicles in the spaces arranged at the entrance to the city and use public transport to get to the final destination and back.
