Emergency Service 112 strengthens teams for Easter period
In the context of the Easter holidays, the national single emergency call service 112 announces that it will operate non-stop to ensure the reception and management of emergency calls throughout the entire territory of the country.
According to the institution, during this period there is an increase in the number of calls by up to 20%. To cope with the increased volume, 112 operators will work in shifts with additional staff so that every request is handled promptly.
Citizens can call the emergency number from a mobile or landline phone, send SMS messages, or use the 112MD mobile application.
Representatives of the institution urge the population to use the 112 number only in real emergency situations that require the immediate intervention of specialized services, such as ambulance, police, firefighters, or rescuers.
The authorities encourage citizens to celebrate safely and not to hesitate to call 112 when life, health, property, or the environment are in danger.
