Deputy Prime Minister meets UNFPA Country Representative and UNDP Resident Representative to Moldova
On 9 April 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a working meeting with Country Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Republic of Moldova Karina Nersesyan and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to Moldova Daniela Gasparikova.
During the discussions, the programmes and projects jointly implemented by these agencies on both banks of the Dniester River were addressed, aimed at strengthening confidence-building measures, promoting social cohesion and ensuring gender equality.
The Deputy Prime Minister underlined the importance of the activities and initiatives implemented by the United Nations to improve the quality of life of citizens and to protect human rights, and reiterated the need for these efforts to align with and support the country’s strategic objective of reintegration.
