Five new pharmacies opened under Pharmacy in Your Village project

About 9,000 residents from five villages in the south and north of the country will have facilitated access to medications. Another five pharmacies have been opened in localities in the Republic of Moldova as part of the Pharmacy in Your Village Project.

According to the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM), the new pharmaceutical points were inaugurated in the villages of Tătărești (Cahul district), Sadic (Cantemir district), Chircăiești (Căușeni district), Viișoara (Glodeni district) and Slobozia-Cremene (Soroca district).

More than 9,000 people now benefit from easy access to compensated medications, electronic prescriptions, and pharmaceutical counseling, right near their homes.

According to AMDM, since the beginning of the year, 27 pharmacies have been opened through the Pharmacy in Your Village project, which already covers 25 districts of the country. The goal of the program is to reduce the disparities between urban and rural areas in terms of access to essential pharmaceutical services.
