Secondary school graduates to have access to videos and interactive lessons to prepare for math exam

Secondary school graduates will have access to a set of 10 video lessons to prepare for the math exam. Students will be able to participate in four interactive online lessons in May, with personalized explanations and answers to their questions.

The initiative is part of Peer to Peer Mathematics campaign and was launched by the Ministry of Education and Research, together with the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment, UNDP and UNICEF, supported by the European Union and Norway.

Each video lesson includes clear explanations of key concepts, step-by-step solved examples, and practical tips to avoid common mistakes.

ANCE director Lilia Ivanov said that the videos were designed to make math more accessible, clearer and more friendly. “We want all students to have access to quality resources, regardless of where they live or the support they have at home,” said Lilia Ivanov.

The videos are available online on YouTube channels of the Ministry of Education and UNDP Moldova, and can be used for review, individual preparation, or clarification of difficult concepts: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOE5a-KRRCwgaFUaP5-fsfkAWdXHvCXrO.

Besides these video materials, the Ministry of Education and UNDP Moldova will organize, starting May 8, four interactive online lessons, led by teacher Alex Leahu. The lessons will take place every Thursday in May (8, 15, 22 and 29 May), starting at 14:00, and will be broadcast on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages of the Ministry and UNDP Moldova. Students will be able to ask questions live and with personalized answers and explanations.

The Peer to Peer Mathematics campaign demonstrates how partnerships can produce innovative solutions. It is a clear example of how we can turn challenges into opportunities for all children, not just those with high performance,” says Ana Moraru, project manager of UNDP Moldova.

The campaign was launched in March. It involves the direct involvement of high school students as mentors for their peers graduating from middle school. A total number of over 600 students from the 11th and 12th grades participate voluntarily to help high school students prepare for the exam.

At the same time, the Ministry launched the platform http://www.ajutauncoleg.md, where students can find useful information about the exam schedule, practice tests and other support materials.
