Moldovan Superior Council of Prosecutors says General Assembly of Prosecutors to take place on March 20

The General Assembly of Prosecutors will take place on March 20, starting from 10:00, which will be held online. The president of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP), Dumitru Obada, has made statements to this effect.

“The law stipulates that the annual report of the Prosecutor's Office must be presented by March 31. To meet this deadline, we propose organizing the General Assembly of Prosecutors online,” said Dumitru Obada.

According to him, the online format is justified by the fact that the subjects on the agenda do not involve issues with major impact.

“There are no matters that require physical presence. Therefore, we find it appropriate to hold the General Assembly online,” emphasized the CSP president.

Dumitru Obada noted that the CSP would contract a specialized company for organizing electronic voting.

“We will resort to a company experienced in conducting online voting, which will ensure the security and integrity of the voting process,” he said.

The agenda of the General Assembly on March 20 includes the hearing of the General Prosecutor's report for the year 2025, the presentation of the priorities of the Prosecutor's Office for the 2026 year, and the activity report of the Superior Council of Prosecutors for the year 2025.

“The decision to convene, the agenda, related materials, and the procedure for using the online voting platform will be published in advance, so that all prosecutors are informed,” Obada also said.

The last General Assembly of Prosecutors took place in Moldova on February 11, 2025, convened by the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP). The event brought together prosecutors from across the country and included the hearing of the activity reports of the Prosecutor's Office and CSP for the 2024 year.
