Moldovan parliament speaker calls for strengthening local administrations

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the patron saint’s feast day of the Chisinau municipality and of the localities across Moldova celebrating their patron saint’s feast day today. He emphasized the need to develop infrastructure and strengthen local public administrations.

In a message posted on social media, the official noted that every locality, from large cities to the smallest villages, had its own charm, hardworking people and stories that connect citizens to their native places.

Igor Grosu said that people want better-maintained localities, better roads, quality services and living conditions that allow them to build a future at home.

“Progress has been made, but we still have a lot of work to do. Through joint efforts and stronger local administrations, we will turn our villages and cities into places where people want to stay, raise their children and build their future,” the parliament speaker wrote.

At the end of his message, Igor Grosu wished “Happy anniversary” to the residents of Chisinau and to all people living in the localities celebrating their patron saint’s feast day. He voiced hope that these places would be full of life and that their homes would be filled with joy, peace and loved people.
