Moldova's road traffic regulations to be completed with two new road signs
Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The road traffic regulations will be completed with two new road signs, under a today’s cabinet decision.
The two signs show the delimitation of the Border Zone and the End of the Border Zone.
The road sign, Border Zone, establishes the beginning of the zone with a width of ten kilometers from the state border to the interior side along the perimeter on land and the frontier waters.
At the same time, the road sign End of Border Zone shows the limits of this perimeter.
The road signs present special conditions of access, stay and hunting. Thus, the hunting is made only by hunters owning card and are members of a hunters’ society. The Border Police district issues to a person a notification for authorizing the carrying out of hunting in the border zone. The notification will be valid upon presenting the person’s identity card. If the hunting is carried out by a group of people, the team head is obliged to verify whether all participants have the aforementioned notifications.
The decision also includes rules on the protection belt of the state border, which represents a land sector with a width of 15 metres beginning with the state border to the interior part. The belt is a zone with an increased security regime, meant for the maintenance in good conditions of the state border, protection of border signs and ensuring the control of access nearby the state border. Thus, the following things are banned in this perimeter: holding arms and ammunitions; holding tobacco cigarettes more than 100 articles; holding a quantity of more than three litres of alcoholic drinks; throwing and stocking waste, arranging improvised waste landfills; abandonment of transport means and agricultural machines, etc.
The implementation of the present decision does not involve additional state budget expenses.
