New way of indexing minimum income to be applied in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/- Starting with 1 April 2021, a new way of indexing the guaranteed minimum monthly income will be applied.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the minimum monthly income will be indexed each year on 1 April and 1 October. Indexation coefficient on 1 April will be the average annual increase in consumer price indices for the last three years, and on 1 October - the inflation rate recorded in the first half of this year.

Thus, after the indexation from 1 April 2021, the minimum monthly income will be 1,151 lei, indexation percentage is 3.89%.
