New wine festival starts at Moldexpo exhibition centre
Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The sixth issue of the New Wines Festival started at the Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre today. During two days, visitors will have possibility to taste new wines and national dishes.
The New Wine Festival is a holiday organized in the spirit of national traditions, meant to popularize Moldovan wines. Residents and guests of Moldova’s capital are expected at the festival to taste the new wine, which is a unique product and can be enjoyed only during the season of grapes’ processing.
The event’s organizers prepared for visitors an artistic programme held by professional bands and bands of amateurs. An art exhibition will be staged at the festival and those present will be able to admire articles made by popular craftsmen.
The National Wine Festival follows after the New Wine Festival, due to be held on the Great National Assembly Square in late next week.
The National Apple Festival took place in the northern Soroca city one week ago. In last August, the southern Cimislia town hosted the National Grapes Festival. The Plum Festival, Potato Festival, Festival of Pies and Rolls, etc. are also organized in Moldova.
