Open Day held at Nicolae Testemitanu Medical University of Moldova for high school students from two Moldovan districts
The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) is organizing an Open Day for students from high schools from the Straseni and Stefan Voda districts.
Career orientation and guidance activities are part of a national campaign, Study in Moldova, launched by the Ministry of Education and Research, in order to promote the educational programs offered by higher education institutions of the country and to encourage graduates to continue their studies at home.
About 140 students from high schools of the Straseni and Stefan Voda districts will be hosted by the university between 14:00 and 16:00. The students will have a meeting with the rector and the faculty representatives (deans and vice-deans) from 14:00 to 14:20 in the Senate Hall, after which they will be able to visit the educational buildings, auditoriums, study rooms and participate in workshops.
The young people will have chance to learn about the University's study programs, activity directions, admission conditions, studies and accommodation, tuition fees for the academic year 2025-2026, international cooperation, scholarships and academic mobility.
The Study in Moldova campaign is organized starting from March till next May. Its goal is to inform as many high school and college graduates as possible about the study opportunities available at home. Thus, approximately 7,000 high school and college graduates will visit higher education institutions, in order to directly learn about universities' educational offers, conditions and process of admission for the upcoming academic year.
Besides students’ visits to universities, representatives of higher education institutions will go to high schools and colleges to present study opportunities to graduates. At the same time, ten educational fairs will be organized in district centers across the country.
