Chisinau, Nov. 3 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health today distributed nine type A ambulances to several medical institutions in the country.
It is about - Edineț, Căuşeni, Ungheni, Orhei, Soroca, Ceadîr-Lunga district hospitals, republican institutions - Bălți Clinical Hospital, Mother and Child Institute and Gheorghe Paladi Municipal Clinical Hospital.
The Ministry of Health announced that they will be used especially for the inter-hospital transfer of patients. "Citizens' access to quality medical services will be facilitated. Currently, most hospitals do not have ambulances or the ones they have are worn out", the institution stated.
The ambulances were purchased by the UNFPA, with the EU support and amount to 586 thousand dollars.
