Three employees of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri (IGC), members of the fifth contingent deployed to the international peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, today returned to Moldova after six months away from home.
The event took place at the IGC headquarters, in the presence of State Secretary of the Interior Ministry Alexandru Bejan, representatives of the Italian Embassy in Chisinau and IGC leadership.
“A distinctive aspect of this contingent is that two of the three carabineers who participated in the mission are women. Through their involvement and professionalism, they contributed to fulfilling the assigned tasks and represented Moldova with dignity within the Kosovo Force (KFOR),” the IGC emphasized.
Over the six-month period, the carabineers worked in an international environment where discipline, responsibility and cooperation played an essential role in carrying out the mission. The experience gained contributes to the development of professional skills and the strengthening of cooperation with international partners.
