President welcomes US and European leaders' efforts for achieving peace in Ukraine
President Maia Sandu welcomed the efforts of the US and European leaders for achieving peace in Ukraine.
The official emphasized that lasting peace depends on solid security guarantees.
“I welcome the monumental effort of Donald Trump and the European leaders gathered in Washington to put an end to the bloodshed and pave the way for peace in Ukraine and our region. Lasting peace depends on solid security guarantees. We look forward to the next steps with hope and remain firmly alongside Ukraine,” Maia Sandu said.
American President Donald Trump hosted European leaders on Monday at the White House, who accompanied Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington. After discussions, Donald Trump announced the preparations for a trilateral meeting with the participation of himself, Zelensky and Putin.
