
University of Medicine took podium at Medical Workers' Spartakiad
The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemițanu" achieved the best results at the 37th edition of the Medical Workers' Spartakiad, organized by "Health" Trade Union Federation of Moldova, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health.
The competition brought together hundreds of employees of the healthcare system, promoting the importance of sports and a healthy lifestyle. Several officials participated in the opening ceremony of the spartakiad, including Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco and President of "Health" Trade Union Federation Igor Zubcu, who emphasized the role of sports activities in strengthening teams in the health sector.
"Nicolae Testemițanu" USMF team, consisting of teaching staff and resident doctors, climbed to the top of the podium in volleyball (female and male), mini-football and 4x100 m relay events. In the individual category, Elizaveta Cojuhari won gold in table tennis, while Valentina Rotaru and Ciprian Rudic took first place in chess. Additionally, Victor Șindirischi (table tennis) and Vasile Oineagră (checkers) ranked third.
Attending the event, Vice-Rector Marcel Abraș highlighted the importance of the event as a platform for communication and collaboration among specialists, encouraging support for young doctors and strengthening team spirit in the health system.
