We have generous financial assistance, including through the EU Growth Plan - our goal is to double the country's economy in a way that this is felt by each citizen. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect at a meeting with over 100 business people.
The PM emphasized that the private sector was the engine of the economy and that the government would continue to provide tools and resources for new investments, including through the European Union Growth Plan.
“Our goal is to double the country's economy in a way that is felt by each citizen. We rely on the private sector, and the government will continue to provide resources for new investments,” the prime minister said.
The meeting gave the business community the opportunity to present its investment priorities, especially in the field of infrastructure, and to discuss the obstacles that still impede accelerated economic development.
“I listened to the vision of business people on investment priorities in infrastructure, as well as the obstacles that still remain to an accelerated economic growth. Moldova is already part of a global trading system and the opportunity to join the EU and pre-accession funds will allow us to make the desired leap. The state must remove constraints and become a facilitator of increased competitiveness and added value of our products. I was pleased to hear that everyone in the business community understands where our place is – in the European Union, where there are opportunities, safety and growth,” concluded Dorin Recean.
