Porumbrei - Cimișlia road construction reached final stage
Chisinau, Oct. 24 /MOLDPRES/- The construction of 19 km of the M3 Porumbrei - Cimișlia road has reached the final stage.
According to the State Road Administration, the reception commission set out that the works are carried out qualitatively in line with the execution project, the specifications and the regulations in force. The road construction project aims to free local routes from heavy vehicle traffic and reduce travel time.
The road segment crosses the outskirts of Cimișlia city and Iurievca, Porumbrei, Sagaidac, Gradiste, Coștangalia villages.
The construction of 19 km of road, part of the national route M3 Porumbrei-Cimișlia started in 2019 and has a value of 30 million euros, money borrowed by the Government from the European Investment Bank.
The contract concluded with the ONUR company included: the construction of the new road with an asphalt concrete road surface, the rehabilitation of a bridge near Porumbrei village, the construction of seven other bridges, 19 footbridges and rainwater drains. Also, more than 1,000 road signs were installed and marking was applied with innovative solutions.
