
Teacher from south Moldova district gets prize at Intel AI Global Impact Festival
Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - A prize worth 2,000 dollars has gone to Dorin Sas, the only teacher from Moldova who participated in a competition dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, Intel AI Global Impact Festival. He is teacher at the Mihai Eminescu theoretical lyceum from the Slobozia Mare village, southern Cahul district.
The teacher achieved this success after he had studied the course Artificial Intelligence, within a programme on training dedicated to teachers from the southern district of Tekwill in Each School, which is part of the EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul initiative.
At the competition, Dorin Sas competed with 234 teachers from 20 countries. To get the competences appreciated internationally, the teacher intensively studied the Artificial Intelligence during two months. Thus, he managed to create software meant to facilitate the giving of marks to pupils.
Dorin Sas received the title of Teacher Innovator in Moldova’s southern region for the effort made to study the course of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and for the opportunity given to pupils to study AI according to the INTEL curriculum.
EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul is implemented on the period 2020-2024 with the European Union’s financial assistance, in partnership with Sweden. The initiative approaches the sustainable social and economic development of the Cahul city and the neighbouring settlements, which completes the regional coverage of the assistance for development, provided by the European Union to Moldova.
