
Moldovan conductor celebrates 70th birth anniversary
Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/- Conductor and drummer Gheorghe Șevcișin, People's Artist, holder of Labor Glory Order celebrates today 70th anniversary.
In 1996 he founded the Orchestra of the Center of Culture and Art Ginta Latina, with which he achieved success at seven editions of the Festival-contest of creation and interpretation of the novel "Silver Chrysanthemum". He composed several orchestral suites for the anniversary show of the Joc band at the age of 65.
He signed the collection of romances, folk and party songs "I have only one longing", in collaboration with the popular music singer Larisa Arseni (1999). He signed the music magazine Valeriu Hanganu (2000).He was awarded the honorary titles Honored Man of the Republic of Moldova (1989) and People's Artist (2010), the prize of the Festival-Contest of Romances "Silver Chrysanthemum" "Rica Ungureanu" (2009), the Labor Glory Order (2000), Civic Merit Medal (2008).
