National Art Museum of Moldova hosts exhibition featuring young artists from three countries

An international exhibition titled, SPERANȚEI 36: Visions in Contrast, will be inaugurated at the Chisinau-based National Art Museum of Moldova on July 22, at 16:00. The event brings together ten young artists from Moldova, Slovenia and Romania, in a project that explores cultural diversity and contemporary artistic expression.

The exhibition can be visited during July 23-September 14, 2025, and includes paintings ranging from abstract compositions to figurative representations, reflecting personal visions on identity, emotion and visual dialogue.

Participating in the exhibition are ten young artists from three countries. Slovenia is represented by Nika Straek, Tara Kek, Špela Ambrož, and Metka Vratar, students at the University of Maribor. Nicoleta Gujea, Denis Moscalu, and Mihail Jabinschi, all from the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts in Chisinau, exhibit works on behalf of Moldova.  Romania is present through Ana-Cristina Lupu, a student at UAD Cluj-Napoca, along with Georgiana Liana Herea and Oana Sima, from Bucharest University of Arts (UNArte Bucharest).

Organized by the Slovenian Embassy in Bucharest, in partnership with the Moldova’s Ministry of Culture, the National Art Museum of Moldova, and the Romanian Embassy in Moldova, the exhibition, SPERANȚEI 36, gives the public an opportunity to discover emerging voices of European contemporary art.

The event is open to the general public, with entry based on the museum's usual schedule.
