
Personal exhibition by Moldovan fine artist inaugurated at Chisinau-based museum
Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - A personal painting exhibition titled, Echo XX, by fine artist Ghenadie Jalba, was inaugurated at the National Art Museum of Moldova today.
In the beginning of the event, the aforementioned museum’s director, Tudor Zbarnea, said the exhibition included 37 works by the artist, made during 1972-1992.
Ghenadie Jalba was born in the Sarata Veche commune, Falesti district, on 13 October 1956. He finished the I. Repin Republican School of Fine Arts from Chisinau in 1975 and then graduated from the V. Surikov Academic Institute of Fine Arts from Moscow in 1981. Jalba debuted in 1984 and participated in more than 150 exhibitions staged in Moldova and abroad. The fine artist’s works are found in public and private collections from Australia, Austria, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Romania, Russia, Moldova, USA, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan.
For his activity, Ghenadie Jalba was awarded, inter alia, the Cultural Merit Order in rank of Commander, C Category – Fine Arts, offered by the president of Romania (2018); Golden Medal and the Diploma of the International Academy Le Mérite et Dévouement Français of France (2016), etc.
The exhibition will be opened till 2 April.
