25 March - deadline for filing income tax statement
Chisinau, Feb. 23 / MOLDPRES /- The State Tax Service (SFS) warned that, on March 25, 2022, the deadline for submitting the income tax statement for 2021 for legal entities and private peopole practicing entrepreneurial activity, taxpayers engaged in professional activity as well as self-employed individuals.
Taxpayers, legal entities and private people practicing entrepreneurial activity, are to submit the Declaration / Report on the income tax to the State Tax Service, electronically or on paper.
"Resident legal entities, except for public authorities and public institutions, resident organizational forms with the status of natural person, persons engaged in professional activities, self-employed natural persons, permanent representation of non-resident in the Republic of Moldova, are required to submit the declaration on to the income tax regardless of the presence of the obligation regarding the payment of the tax ”, indicates SFS.
Starting with the fiscal period 2021, the income tax rate of persons practicing professional activity in the justice sector with the status of natural person from 18% to 12% has been revised.
Also, for the economic agents - subjects of the small and medium enterprise sector (SME) starting with 2021, the list of non-taxable incomes was supplemented with: the financial means obtained in the form of a grant through the programs approved by the Government; the incomes of the legal persons obtained as a result of the capitalization of the external financial sources within the international grants related to the development of education and research.
At the same time, the Tax Office specifies that the economic agents are obliged to pay the income tax, in installments, no later than March 25, June 25, September 25 and December 25 of the fiscal year. The agricultural enterprises, the peasant (farmer) households have the right to pay the tax in two stages: 1/4 of the amount - until September 25 and 3/4 of this amount - until December 25 of the fiscal year.
Also, the economic agents subject to the small and medium enterprise sector, the persons carrying out professional activity in the justice and health sector, as well as the natural persons carrying out independent activities pay, the income tax to the budget, in installments, quarterly, until of the 25th of the month following the corresponding quarter.
