President Maia Sandu congratulated citizens on New-Style Christmas Eve. The head of state published video images from the Christmas tree inauguration event at the Presidency.
The video images were accompanied by the message “Merry Christmas!”
Everyone who wishes to admire the Christmas tree at the Presidency can do so until January 15, from Monday to Friday, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays, between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
On December 25, many Christians in the Republic of Moldova celebrate the Nativity on the new style. Christmas marks the birth of Christ and is celebrated by those who follow the Gregorian calendar.
To allow everyone to celebrate with family, December 25 has been declared an official holiday.
