Moldovan finance minister, Chinese Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

The Moldovan-Chinese cooperation and the possibilities for its expansion have been discussed at a meeting between Finance Minister Andrian Gavrilita and  Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Moldova Dong Zhihua.

According to the Finance Ministry, the discussions focused on areas of common interest, with an emphasis on continuing good cooperation and the professional development of public officials through exchange programmes and training sessions.

“The sides agreed to identify new partnership opportunities, in order to continue bilateral cooperation,” the source announced.

Minister Gavrilita thanked the Chinese side for the support provided in various fields and reiterated the commitment of the Finance Ministry to continue strengthening cooperation with international partners.

The diplomatic relations between Moldova and the People's Republic of China were established in 1992, and currently over 80 companies with Chinese capital are active on the local market, with investments in agriculture, agricultural products’ processing, infrastructure and energy.
