Constantin Borosan wins competition for position of director at Moldova's national energy regulator in natural gas sector

Constantin Borosan, presently acting as State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, has achieved the highest score in the public competition organized by the parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finance for the vacant position of member of the Board of Directors of the National Energy Regulatory Agency  (ANRE), in charge of the natural gas sector.

The head of the aforementioned commission, Radu Marian, made statements to this effect. He said that Borosan was to be put forward to the parliament's plenum for appointment for a six-year term.

"Today, the commission for economy, budget and finance held the public competition for the vacant position of member of the ANRE Board of Directors. The highest score was achieved by Constantin Borosan. The commission will put up this candidacy to the parliament's plenum," said Radu Marian.

ANRE is the independent public authority that regulates the electricity, natural gas, and petroleum products markets in Moldova. The institution plays a key role in ensuring a competitive, fair and transparent framework for all participants in the energy sector, as well as in protecting consumers’ interests and ensuring the country's energy security.
