
Moldovan president has meeting with local, district public authorities of Cimislia
President Maia Sandu today visited the city of Cimislia, where she had a meeting with representatives of local and district public authorities. The discussions focused on efforts to keep Moldova a safe, peaceful and free country, as well as on the concrete steps needed to continue the modernization of the country’s settlements.
The head of state said that, in the Cimislia district, approximately 96 million lei had been invested through the European Village programme alone. ‘’Street lighting was extended in Selemet, Albina and Javgur; kindergartens and schools were renovated in the city of Cimislia and in the villages of Ecaterinovca, Troitcoe and Gura Galbenei; aqueducts were built, cultural centers were modernized and roads were repaired—including the 19 km section of the Porumbrei-Cimislia route,' the president also said.
Through all stages of the European Village programme, 42 infrastructure projects have been implemented in the Cimislia district. At the same time, in the last two years, over 24 million lei has been invested in the health system of the district. Presently, a project is underway to extend the sewage network in the city of Cimislia by another 20 kilometers. The value of the works amounts to 33 million lei, funds allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
