Foreign minister meets Moldovans in Southern Italy

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi met with Moldovan citizens settled in Calabria and Sicily regions of Italy, as part of a visit dedicated to strengthening relations with the diaspora.

Among the central topics was the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Italy, recently approved by the Italian Parliament, which is to be implemented shortly. This will allow recognition of working years and access to pensions and other social benefits for Moldovans working in Italy.

Additionally, the minister announced that a new agreement on the conversion of driver's licenses is near completion and will be signed soon, thus facilitating the lives of Moldovans in Italy.
