Moldova strengthens economic recovery trajectory: Gross Domestic Product grows by 5.2 per cent in third quarter of 2025

Moldova is strengthening its economic recovery trajectory after the crises of previous years. Thus, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 5.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2025, raising the cumulative growth for the January–September period to 2 per cent.

Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Eugen Osmochescu said that this positive development was supported by both domestic demand, through increased investments and consumption, and favorable performance of productive sectors, such as agriculture and manufacturing.

According to data from the National Statistics Bureau, the sectors that contributed the most to GDP growth were agriculture: +15 per cent; construction: +8.3 per cent; manufacturing: +3.8 per cent and real estate transactions: +3.2 per cent.

At the same time, positive contributions on the use side were driven by gross fixed capital formation: +17.9 per cent; private consumption: +2.9 per cent; export of goods: +18.5 per cent and export of services: +9.6 per cent.
