International Exchange of Moldova officially registered at Public Services Agency

The Moldova International Exchange (BIM) has been officially registered at the Public Services Agency (ASP). The Public Property Agency (APP) made statements to this effect today. He said that this event marked BIM's transition into an institutional stage, with a legal basis and operational mandate for the development of Moldova’s capital market.

The exchange creates premises for diversifying companies' financing sources, increasing access to investments and strengthening economic ties with financial markets of the region. It is developed as a modern trading platform and as a core of the capital market infrastructure of Moldova. BIM is established as a joint-stock company. The shareholding structure brings together financial institutions and strategic investors.

According to the APP, the leadership of BIM is made up of professionals with local and international experience in public administration, financial markets, banking, and investments.

Thus, Veronica Aprintin is the general director of the Moldova International Exchange. She has earlier served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, in charge of the business environment’s development. Aprintin has expertise in financing and developing the private sector within an international financial institution with the highest credit rating.

The position of deputy general director of the Moldova International Exchange will be held by Andrian Iastremschi. He has experience in financial markets, banking, and investments. He has worked in international financial institutions and in the capital market structures of Moldova.

The strategic decisions of the Moldova International Exchange are provided by the Board of Directors, composed of shareholder representatives and an independent member. Specifically, Paul Dogaru is a member of the Board of Directors and represents the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). He is the operations registry director at the Central Depository of BVB. Dogaru contributes technical expertise in capital market infrastructure and transfers know-how from the Romanian model to the market of Moldova.

Dorin Recean is a member of the Board of Directors and represents the Public Property Agency. Previously, he held the position of Moldova’s prime minister, presently serving as the President's Special Envoy for development and resilience. He has experience in public policy, institutional reforms, and international cooperation. Recean contributes to the strategic orientation of the exchange and dialogue with external partners.

Alexandru Sonic is a member of the Board of Directors and represents investors in the credit sector. He contributes with vast experience in investments, finance, corporate governance and risk management both internationally, within a top-tier bank, and in Moldova.

Andrei Plamadeala is a member of the Board of Directors and represents investors in the non-credit sector.

Dumitru Vicol is an independent member of the Board of Directors. He is a specialist in capital markets with a career built within some of the most prestigious global financial institutions. Vicol has experience in board memberships and financial analysis.

With the official registration and complete constitution of the leadership team, the Moldova International Exchange enters an operational preparation and regulatory authorization phase.

APP emphasized that the immediate priority of the institution was to finalize the technological platform, establish internal rules and procedures, and prepare the necessary documentation to apply for a market operator license at the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF). The submission of the file is planned for March 30, 2026.
