
Natural gas consumption drops by 40 per cent in Moldova in last June
As much as 16.4 million cubic meters of natural gas were consumed in last June, a volume that is by 40.6 percent less than in May 2025 and by 9.4 per cent more against June, 2024.
According to data by the Moldovagaz stock company, by June 30, the payment level for natural gas consumption for the volume supplied in 2025 reached 98.8 per cent, amounting to 6.5 billion lei.
Specifically, household consumers paid 97.7 per cent of the amounts invoiced in 2025. As for non-household consumers, the share of transfers was 99.1 per cent. Enterprises from the energy and heating sectors nationwide paid their invoices at a rate of 100.0 per cent.
In the reference period, 216 consumption units were disconnected from the natural gas distribution network, as a result of the accumulating of debts amounting to about 1.122 million lei.
