Acting minister of agriculture had discussions about agricultural sector PAS-nominated Prime Minister

Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga said today at a press conference that she had discussions with Alexandru Munteanu, nominated candidate for the position of Prime Minister about the sector she manages, avoiding saying specifically if she will be part of the new Cabinet of Ministers.

“We discussed agriculture, agricultural projects and challenges in the sector, and that's all. It seems that he is forming an opinion about the country's economy, in segments. That's all I can tell you for now. I will definitely announce any decision that will be made,” Catlabuga said.

Ludmila Catlabuga was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry in November 2024.

With nearly a decade of activity in the dairy cattle farming sector, Ludmila Catlabuga has established herself as a leader in the agri-food industry. She began her professional career in the economic field, gaining experience in various sectors. In 2017, she co-founded the Farmers Producers Association. Under her leadership, the association grew from seven founding members to 130 member farms, strengthening the agricultural producers community in our country. Catlabuga is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, specializing in Accounting and Auditing, and is continuing her academic journey in the master's program Management in Agribusiness.
