The purpose of these meetings is to identify real challenges and sectoral priorities to build effective public policies tailored to society's needs.

After the initial session in the past days, where Munteanu met with approximately 100 business representatives discussing topics such as access to European funds, support for innovations, digitalization of public services, labor market, access to capital, and modernization of agriculture, the consultations continued to ensure the governance program reflects the expectations of the entire society.

Thus, Alexandru Munteanu discussed today with the representatives of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM) about local administration reform, strengthening local autonomy, and attracting professionals into local administration.

“Mayors and local authorities are essential partners of the Government in implementing public policies and leveraging opportunities offered by the European Union. We will continue to work together to support local authorities in accessing and managing European funds”, Munteanu stated.

Also today, during consultations with civil society, topics such as justice reform and the vetting process, economic development, energy security, the rights of people with disabilities, opportunities for youth, tourism development, and environmental policies were addressed. The designated Prime Minister emphasized the importance of open dialogue and the involvement of civil society to ensure the governance program is transparent and inclusive.

“Our aim is to build public policies that support employees and contribute to raising the standard of living within a fair and sustainable framework”, he declared.

Agriculture was another central topic of the consultations, with the designated Prime Minister discussing with professional associations about the need for a modern, sustainable agricultural model adapted to climate changes. Emphasis was placed on access to European funds for modern technologies and improving irrigation systems, which are considered essential for increasing agricultural production and developing high value-added farms.

“Agriculture is an important sector of our economy, but to respond to current challenges, we need a modern, sustainable agricultural model adapted to climate changes. During public consultations, we discussed with several professional associations about access to European funds for investments in modern technologies, and also about the necessary solutions to improve irrigation systems, a major challenge in many regions of the country. The Government will continue to support farmers and accelerate the development of the agricultural sector through investments in efficient agriculture”, he said.

Alexandru Munteanu reiterated that these consultations are an essential step for building a governance program based on real solutions and collaboration between the public sector, the private environment, and civil society. According to the official, the future Executive aims to promote sustainable economic policies, support local administration, strengthen employee protection, and modernize agriculture to respond to the country's economic and social challenges.

In the coming days, he will continue the series of consultations, this time with parliamentary factions, to discuss the structure and priorities of the future Government and to ensure an inclusive and coherent governance process.
